The Loire Valley Calypsos

The Loire Valley Calypsos

Like Voyou, Flavien Berger or Bonbon Vodou, The Loire Valley Calypsos is part of this generation which dares to mix anachronistic and/or antipodean influences. Their globetrotting pop can therefore draw here or there from psychedelia, Caribbean rhythms, disco or French song to color its message. It is even the last major turn of the Angevin group, finally completely assuming the language of Molière. But like Elli Medeiros or Manu Chao before them, The Loire Valley Calypsos knows how to find the right words to exorcise our disillusionment in chorus on a lysergic forró, a beguine from space, a cosmic maloya or even a frenzied afro-funk.
Perfecting their art on the roads of France for almost ten years, the five dandies of The Loire Valley Calypsos have repeatedly proven that they fear no one when it comes to taking the dancers into collective jubilation.
