A 100% female electro-cumbia band formed in 2023, Cumbia Boom Box makes stages vibrate with a solar and irresistibly festive energy. Composed of 5 musicians from Poitiers with complementary backgrounds, the project blends the hypnotic rhythms of Latin American cumbia (Colombia) with electronic textures to create a powerful, danceable, and contagious sound! On stage, the percussion, instruments, vocals, and machines respond to one another in a colorful whirlwind where partying meets self-affirmation. Between tradition and modernity, Cumbia Boom Box composes, mixes styles and influences, and writes about what they experience as women, inhabitants, and citizens of the world. They celebrate dance, sisterhood, and the freedom to be, with music that brings all ages together and keeps bodies moving until the end of the night.
