Tiki Paradise

Tiki Paradise

Between the 1920s and 1960s, Tiki culture established itself as a heavenly parenthesis for those who had not yet experienced the emergence of civil aviation and paid leave. Going to a tiki bar was an opportunity to vicariously experience a trip to exotic, fabulous and idealized lands. Everything was done for this very good trip, decor, cocktails and of course the music, a genre in its own right is dedicated to it, exotica.
A few decades later, 4 French people came together to revive exotica and other typical styles of the time, mixtures of origins and influences then taking place in the United States, mambo, chacha, boogaloo, merengue ...Reviving this whole melting pot by adapting it to our times, adding sounds that did not exist at the origins of the genre and freeing ourselves from codes.
Even if we can travel much more easily, the human being's need for exoticism remains and Tiki Paradise offers us this heavenly parenthesis today as can other groups such as Mauskovic Dance Band, Meridian Brothers or Messer Chups.
The melodies of Erwan's saxophones are accompanied by Benoît's percussion and drums, Martin's double bass and Nicolas' piano or guitar, the keyboards and samples of each enhance everything.

The 4 musicians of Tiki Paradise have a lot of experience on stage and have explored many genres with different projects, Forroscopic's, Swing of France etc...
