Prosper & Le Marabout - Le Moustache Conspiracy vinyle
Born of a virtual encounter during confinement between two Parisian neighbors, DJ/producer Prosper and saxophonist Le Marabout, "Le Moustache Conspiracy" is a playful and deeply joyful album, drawing freely on Afro, Funk, Disco, Hip-Hop, Oriental and Electro.
Iconoclastic DJ Romain "Prosper" Coolen, a fervent purveyor of unrestrained euphoria on the dancefloor, and versatile saxophonist, composer and jack-of-all-trades Johann "Le Marabout" Guihard offer us a sumptuous, eclectic, no-holds-barred universe for a coherent, furiously groovy album!
The star artists on this multicultural conspiracy include two Senegalese hip-hop luminaries, Fou Malade and Niagass (on "C'est Vrai" and "Cool Na"), American rapper Awoke with "Back On The Cliffs", Ghanaian rapper Zongo Abongo on the Afro-funk track "Leaders of Tomorrow", New Zealand rapper Imagine This on the irresistible "Sexy Girl", and Italians Jonie D and Edo U on the seductive Latin-zouk epic "Amore".
France also joins the party as rapper Hippocampe Fou and soul man Ludwig Nestor come and go on "C'est Moi" (an ironic braggadocio track promoting Prosper) and "Dance Of Excess", which channels Prince's vibes. . The album kicks off in style with the jazzy "Rainy Day", haunted by the production touch of cratedigger Degiheugi.
The only conspiracy you need to worry about is the moustache conspiracy!
