“Something Strange” is the title of the new Hawaiian Pistoleros album.
From the turquoise waters of the Big Island to the empty streets of an abandoned town in the desert wind, we search for the elusive Suzie. Marked by a few mysterious disappearances, on the route we will come across a three-legged dog, a house for sale at all costs, an untunable piano, a counter songwriter, a rattlesnake that no longer rings, a recalcitrant old Chevrolet, and the the inevitable ghost train that once haunted the Sun Records studios…
10 tracks composed*, recorded and performed by the Hawaiian Pistoleros in the secrecy of a distant island during the winter, accompanied by a few choice guests, produced by Coconut Island, in collaboration with MaAula Records, and mixed by Stew Crookes (Weather Station, Doug Paisley).
